We stayed in a villa near Lime Kiln Bay, which was near the edge of the exclusion zone at that time. This is prior to the eruption.

This last photo of Pyroclastic flows entering the ocean was either taken by Glen Mattioli or myself. Either was I am sure we both have many of them.
Of course there is a long story associated with this, basically a night of thinking I might die and playing the best boggle game ever.
